Our mission is to be the education lifeline and safety net that offers hope, dignity, and opportunity to North Carolina’s most needy public school students.

The North Carolina Foundation for Public School Children provides for needs that directly impact a child's school experience when no other resource is available. We respond as quickly as possible so the child can be in school and focus on learning.

Every day a child struggles in school simply because they lack something as basic as a pair of eyeglasses, shoes that fit, appropriate clothing, supplies, a hearing aid, or else.

The Disaster Relief Fund provides for academic needs and supplies to students, teachers and schools throughout public school systems that are directly affected by natural disasters. We provide for supplies and items not covered by insurance or by federal, state, and local governments.

The mission also includes growing future teachers for North Carolina through the Teacher Cadet Program. Teacher Cadet ensures a future stocked with homegrown teachers who can relate to the students they teach. Teacher Cadet is currently North Carolina's only instate teacher recruitment program.

The North Carolina Foundation for Public School Children is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Federal ID number: 56-1957977.
